Debian Cobbler Install


So lately Ive been working on getting all the flavors of linux that we offer to customers available for auto installation via cobbler. For the longest time we only offered CentOS which was great until one of our techs needed to install Debian or Ubuntu which were not nearly as familiar with. This led to slow installation process, non uniform installations and wasted time. Unfortunately¬†Debian wasn’t quite as easy a process as CentOS so I am going to outline some of the problems¬†I ran into below and their solutions:

cd-rom

 

This is a result of linux kernel images being imported from the DVD iso rather than the netinstaller iso. While this is fine you simply need to import the netinstaller linux kernel images.
